TCS prepares for 'Spring Festival of Music'

L to R: TCS Choir Conductor Elizabeth Egan, Youth Choir Conductor Vicki Bravery, and Contemporary Choral Conductor Nerida Eckert.

The Choirs of the Toowoomba Choral Society will present their annual ‘Spring Festival of Music’ on Sat, 28 Oct 2017 at 02:00 PM at Middle Ridge Uniting Church, 264 Stenner Street, Toowoomba.

Featured will be the choral talents of the TCS Choir, Contemporary Choral and Youth Choir, led by the gifted conductors of our society, Mrs Elizabeth Egan, Mrs Nerida Eckert and Mrs Vicki Bravery.

The choral performances will feature a variety of music for all tastes, including such favourites as Danny Boy, The Battle Hymn of the Republic, through to songs by Pink and the Pentatonix. The concert will culminate in a massed choir performing How can I keep from Singing, and afternoon tea will be provided.

The Choral Society has had a very busy performing schedule this year, with the many groups participating in the 72nd Toowoomba Eisteddfod, the QLD Pops Orchestra Celtic Spectacular in May, a combined concert with Ipswich Orpheus Chorale in June, the Youth Production of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang in July, Choirs for Uganda concert in August, and the most recent stage production of Sweeney Todd in September.

It is a wonderful opportunity for our society to come together as one. We are delighted to perform a selection of beautiful and vibrant choral works for this spring concert, before the busy year draws to a close’, said TCS Choir Conductor Mrs Elizabeth Egan.

Tickets are Adult $20.00, Child $10.00, Family Ticket (4 people) $50.00 and can be purchased at the door.
