Hard Work is rewarded at Queensland Eisteddfod

It has been a busy and very rewarding Easter weekend for the Toowoomba Choral Society and its members at the 123rd Queensland Eisteddfod, held at the Toowoomba Empire Theatres precinct. All three choirs received places in the various choral sections.

TCS Choir

  • 1st in Open Mens
  • 1st in Open Chief
  • 3rd in Open Ladies
  • Highly Commended in Open Modern
  • Highly Commended in Open Grand Madrigal
  • Highly Commended in Open Welsh

TCS Contemporary Choral

  • 1st in Open Hymn Singing (5 - 8 voices)
  • 2nd in Open Music Theatre
  • Highly Commended in the Open Vocal Ensemble

TCS Youth Choir

  • 1st in Youth Music Theatre
  • 1st in Junior Choral Contest
  • 2nd in Intermediate Choral Contest
  • Highly Commended in Youth Modern Chorus
  • Very Highly Commended in Small Vocal Ensemble

TCS Youth also won the Youth Choral Aggregate Trophy. The choir is absolutely ecstatic to be rewarded this acknowledgment of their hard work.

Toowoomba Choral Society would like to thank conductors; Elizabeth Egan, Nerida Eckert and Vicki Bravery, and accompanists; Andrew Egan, Anne Gralow and Christine Lebsanft for their time and dedication in rehearsing our choirs.

Toowoomba Choral Society would also like to congratulate members for their individual successes in the small group and solo sections.
